Breonna Taylor's mother meets with DOJ,
demands federal
officers in
her death

Breonna Taylor's mother; Tamika Palmer; met with officials from the Justice Department's Civil Rights
Division on Monday to ask them to investigate the fatal shooting of her daughter during a botched
police raid in 2020
and ultimately to bring federal charges against the officers involved:
"Tm here at the Department of Justice asking them to do the right thing;" Palmer said at a news
conference after the meeting: "This is bigger than Breonna: If no one addresses this issue, they'Il keep
kicking in our doors and murdering us.
Sunday marked the two-year anniversary of Taylors death:
The 26-year-old was shot and killed during the police raid
at her apartment in Louisville, Kentucky, in March 2020.
Her death sparked protests across the country:
"For the nation; it's been two years and one day;" Palmer
said  "For me, Im trapped in March 13,2020.
